ISO 2067:2019 pdf free.Granulated cork, broken cork and crushed cork – Sampling for the
determination of moisture content.
4 General
The whole package shall be handled in batches and, in the case of products in packages, all the packages of a same batch shall be identical and include, in a similar proportion, a single type of cork (granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork) from those mentioned in the title of this document.
No more than 24 h shall elapse between the time of determination of the initial total mass of the batch and the time at which the laboratory samples are made.
5 Sampling method
5.1 Products in bulk
Determine the total initial mass of the batch by direct weighing.
From the whole batch, take randomly at least 25 1 of granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork, at points distant from each other and well distributed in the batch.
Divide the approximately 25 1 of granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork into two similar laboratory samples and place them in properly identified and hermetically sealed containers. One laboratory sample shall be directly used for the moisture test and the other one shall be given to the entity responsible for the sampling, for a possible control.
5.2 Products in packages
Count the total number of packages in the batch.
Determine the total initial mass of the batch (mass of packages included) by direct weighing.
From the whole batch, take randomly some packages containing granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork: 5 packages minimum which will correspond to at least 50 1.
Open each package and determine the corresponding mass of each one. Extrapolate the value obtained for the total number of packages, thus obtaining the total mass of the packages.
From the different opened packages, take randomly an equal volume of granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork, in order to obtain a total mass of about 25 1.
6 Sampling report
The sampling report shall include the following information:
a) designation of the product;
b) product identification mark or the batch number;
c) a reference to this document, i.e. ISO 2067:20 19;
d) supplier’s name and customer’s name;
e) total number of packages that make up the batch, if applicable;
f) number of packages containing granulated cork, broken cork or crushed cork that have been taken from the batch and their whole mass, if applicable;
g) date of determination of the total initial mass of the batch;
h) date of end of sampling;
I) location of the batch to be sampled;
j) name of the entity responsible to carry out the sampling;
k) total initial mass of the batch (packages included, if applicable);
1) total initial mass of the batch (packages excluded, if applicable);
m) details of any incidents which may have influenced the sampling results.
